If it lives a few turns, its absolutely deadly, and not just because youll be hanging around with a bunch of [card]Boros Charm[/card] Surviving board wipes can be a game win so can instant speed double strike on your beefed up commander
I think many decks that feature creature types under Outlaw will want this
This common card now goes for a fair bit of money thanks to its prolific use in the old Channel Fireball decks, back when the game had just 40 card decks and no real restrictions on other very powerful cards (looking at you Black Lotus)
It is sometimes better to hold off on ramping early in the game so you can use ramp spells later once you have multiple permanents with landfall abilities to trigger them multiple times in one turn
Just imagine an aggressive Winota, Joiner of Forces deck with Lurrus as a Companion, for example, or a Meren of Clan Nel Toth Reanimator deck with Gyruda, Doom of Depths tagging along for the ride
