本品は甕と坏との中間的な形をした鉢形土器です。主に、煮炊き用の甕と、食べ物を盛り付ける茶碗のような役割である坏の両方の用途を満たしていたと考えられています。

貫入も全体に見られ、抹茶碗として使い込むと良い味わいがでそうです。

口縁はわずかに薄造りなっています。
