The original felt is still in place underneath the base

and one has the remains of the paper label on it too

I just gave the top a good wax to show off the fine graining and rich colour

Japanese Overall width: 49cmI love the baluster turned and block legs and turned feet that haven't been shortened, the peg joints (that also protrude on the inside as they should), the correct rough front to back drawer lining, the original handle, no dodgy repairs (except the canvas tape on one side of the drawer of course, which I dont mind at the mo, but I might restore), the colour, the rough dovetail joints to the drawers, etc. it looks like it hasn't been messed around
