Côtes de Nuits-Villages, Toppe Citeau, 2022 leading into a very longOrganically farmed Chardonnay vines, in the tiny Toppe Citeau vineyard, located at the southern end of the village of Comblanchien. Vinified in 2 and 3 year old oak barrels, the palate is full, firm and layered. Rich, but not heavy, there is a lovely acidic structure around which the rest of the wine sits. There is apple, pear and fresh peach fruit, with hints of butter, salted caramel and black pepper. The finish is long, full and especially smooth.
