Considering the fact that I photographed this outfit the day after the actual party, I added a biker jacket to make the outfit a little more day time appropriate, which I think worked out pretty good

But in my opinion, I would categorize this dress as a party dress. While it looks very chic and church-worthy, due to its shorter length, I would only wear this to a nighttime event
